Sam Turner's Best BetsBlogTop tipster Sam Turner is a regular on Racing TV and a proponent of speed figures and sectional timing. Here are his best bets for the day’s action

Schumli (Wolverhampton, 1.20)

This looks a competitive nursery but SCHUMLI did the job nicely here over 7f on Saturday to win her first race and looks open to plenty of improvement now upped in distance.

The filly had shown glimmers of ability but was mostly disappointing in her initial nine runs. However, the application of a first-time tongue-tie looked to make all the difference at the weekend, as instead of capitulating late on, she kept on going.

It wasn’t much of a race but then neither is this lowly Class 6 contest and, now connections appear to have found the key to her, Schumli could still be well-treated to follow up despite the penalty.

Kaser (Wolverhampton, 3.20)

KASER has done all his winning at Dunstall Park and was back to form on his return 35 days ago via two average efforts at Chester and Chelmsford.

His record here over today’s trip or similar reads 213311 (performances over 1m4f best ignored) and that stat is hard to ignore as he now steps up to Class 3 grade for the first time. He has a decent set of track speed figures and looks worthy of support at what could be generous odds.

Twpsyn (Southwell, 6.45)

TWPSYN has been a frustrating character but enjoyed a mile and a half on the Fibresand here 13 days ago.

He had previously only won a small race at L’Ancresse in Guernsey but scored unchallenged over course and distance, with the first-time visor lighting him up in the final furlong. The handicapper has reacted accordingly but on my speed calculations, Twpsyn looks hard to beat under these conditions.

Schumli (Wolverhampton, 1.20) 1pt win @ 3-1

Kaser (Wolverhampton, 3.20) 1pt ew @ 6-1

Twpsyn (Southwell, 6.45) 1pt win @ 5-1
