FIZZY FEET continues to knock at the door after another placed effort at Wolverhampton but may find a return to Monday’s venue more to her liking after going so close here 16 days ago.
Admittedly, that was over the minimum trip but the filly travelled at pace and looked to be heading for a third career victory when nailed close home.
Well backed at Dunstall Park last week - again over 5f - she had the misfortune to bump into a runaway winner who clocked a serious time. Fizzy Feet didn’t quite live up to her name early on in that fast-run contest but rallied well - albeit too late and now looks ready for a step back up to 6f on a track she likes.
JUST THAT LORD could be over-priced in the Class 2 5f dash but the summer Epsom sprint scorer should be back at the top of his game on his third run since a 128-day break.
His second outing back was over course and distance in the race where Fizzy Feet was narrowly denied. All over the place from the stalls, he was gathered up by Kieran Shoemark and then made a move heading to the final furlong. In the end, Just That Lord was beaten only half a length by the the re-opposing Thegreatestshowman, clocking a decent figure and is fancied to go close in this open heat.
The Lingfield finale is a lower grade sprint and one that THREE LITTLE BIRDS should find more to her liking after being well beaten in a better race (Fizzy Feet third) at Wolverhampton last Tuesday.
Never in the hunt from her outside draw and finding things happening all too quickly, the course and distance winner now drops back a grade and can resume winning ways.
