Sam Turner's Best BetsBlogDaily Mail tipster Sam Turner has three selections lined up at Wolverhampton and Plumpton.

Felix (Wolverhampton, 7.40)

This looks a cracking handicap and one that the hotly in-form FELIX can win to make it a hat-trick of victories since joining Marco Botti for what was a bargain 24,000gns.

The four-year-old is actually on a four-timer having won for Sir Michael Stoute on his last run for the yard after a gelding and wind operation. He did the job nicely at Newmarket in September but has since improved by scoring in style over course and distance on Boxing Day and then following up 19 days ago at Lingfield, quickening well for a cheeky success.

Felix has been raised 9lb for those all-weather wins but that doesn’t look excessive considering the manner of victory and he is fancied to continue the progression tonight.

Qaaraat (Wolverhampton, 8.10)

The finale is lacking in quality but it’s very competitive nonetheless and QAARAAT looks to be sneaking back to his best.

The gelding is not prolific but won off today’s rating of 56 last November in a decent time at Newcastle in a better contest. Since then he has been mostly running well in defeat and stayed on well from the rear over course and distance on Wednesday.

Qaaraat does tend to find one or two too good but that will be reflected in an expected each-way price and he is likely to be competitive again judged on his figures for the Tapeta surface here and at Newcastle.

Wenceslaus (Plumpton, 3.45)

Should racing go ahead at Plumpton, then WENCESLAUS warrants close inspection.

The eight-year-old has a superb 3-4 record here and was imperious under similar conditions two weeks ago when moving clear heading to the final fence and coming home as he liked.

A 53-day break had freshed Wenceslaus up and he’s on a belated hat-trick, which might have been a five-timer attempt had he not suffered a narrow reversal over hurdles at Uttoxeter at the start of November.
