Sam Turner's Best BetsBlogTop tipster Sam Turner is a regular on Racing TV and a proponent of speed figures and sectional timing. Here are his best bets for the day’s action

Sarvi (Hamilton, 4.30)

Sarvi won very easily here over half a furlong further three weeks ago on her first visit but failed to repeat the feat at Ayr on Friday.

The recent victory was achieved unchallenged as the filly toughed it out in the mud and kept on galloping to the line. However, she was way too keen early on three days ago and although a little unlucky when hampered heading to the final furlong, it’s doubtful she would have got to the leaders in a race run at a slow pace considering the better going.

Connections have drawn a quick line under the Ayr effort so it’s back to Hamilton and, although the going may not be quite as testing as she prefers, rain is forecast and the going should be on the slow side.

Kaizer (Hamilton, 5.00)

Kaizer ran creditably over 1m6f at Musselburgh in July following victory over hurdles nine days before but probably blew his winning chance by trying to do too much early on. Rested for six weeks, the four-year-old was very well backed on his return but again was too keen and ran out of steam.

Kaizer is dropped back to 1m4f this afternoon and, with a little more restraint (Andrew Mullen takes over from apprentice), should be more effective in a race where much of the money may be riding on Listed juvenile hurdle winner Chica Buena.
