kevin-o-malley-the-tips-denWe avoided a tricky Newmarket card yesterday, which paid off handsomely elsewhere, particularly at York. Bit of a switch today as we swerve York and venture three bets at Newmarket, along with one in the Summer Mile at Ascot.

In case you haven't noticed on Twitter, I am now Captain of the GGRacing Syndicate at Colossus Bets. We hit the Cork Place Pick 6 last night, returning 546% profit for followers. I've put together some solid perms for all of today's £3000 Place Pick 6 pools, you can check them out and get involved here >> Join our GG Racing Syndicate >>>

Today's Selections

1.20 - Beat The Bank 4/1

Lord Glitters was a rewarding E/w punt in the Queen Anne, but the horse to take from that race is Beat The Bank, who just had no run from beginning to end and was given a sympathetic ride given his tactical race and path were evidently going to prove troublesome from early on. Andrew Balding’s horses are thriving just now and with a little more luck this time, Beat The Bank will be very hard to deny.

2.15 - Blue Point 11/4

Blue Point came of age in the King’s Stand, really stamping his class and authority over a strong field. An RPR of 123 and Topspeed figure of 117 mark him down as the clear form horse here. The step back up to this sharp and fast 6f should really suit and despite a solid field forming around the market leader, those below him in the market are just about their rightful prices and nothing really stands out as worth taking him on with.

2.50 - Spanish Aria E/w 5/1, double stakes

This athletic Lope De Vega filly very much caught the eye in a good Newbury novice race on her debut last time out. She had no real run here, coming out slow from a wide draw, the gaps never materialised and she was afforded an easy time of it under Rob Havlin. Spanish Aria is certain to learn a bundle from that and strip a more formidable proposition today. It’ll take something useful to beat her.

3.20 - Ibraz E/w 7/2, double stakes

A progressive son of Farhh, Ibraz is going the right way for Roger Varian and the form of his 1m1f Sandown victory has very much worked out nicely since. The step back to a mile holds few fears and his ability to stay a bit further will help if it comes to negotiating a burn-up early pace, whilst keeping enough in the tank for a battle in the last furlong. Comes out well on ratings and is on an exploitable mark. It is a quality race, though.
