It has been a tentative few days in the den with bad weather and worse racing, but we're back today with two bets in races at opposite ends of the class scale; both strongly fancied E/w and running at decent prices...
2.30 - Frankuus E/w 8/1 generally, double stakes
1.30 - Jaimieʼs Joy E/w 10/1 generally, double stakes
As usual we’ll keep it nice and simple in the reasoning department, but just the two bets today. I tweeted about Frankuus yesterday suggesting people snap up the double figure odds on offer and in truth I kicked myself in the foot in terms of the Tips Den because he’s 8/1 tops now. Nonetheless, he represents solid form at a variety of tracks, he’s a course winner on soft ground and with the 3yo allowances, he comes out well on the ratings and is unlikely to be far away at the finish.
Jamie’s Joy went into my GG Alerts after his run at Beverley last time out, where he shaped as a sort to do well in handicaps in due course or even outrun big odds in a maiden. However he turns up in a very poor seller at huge looking odds of 10/1 with the dead eight here and unless they’re just after a sensible run to get a mark, I think he’s a huge player.
