track-bia14s-diary-v2OSKEMEN, who was a qualifier on the ‘second run for Archie Watson' system, raced on the slowest part of the track when just touched off in a 1m handicap at Kempton last time and is worth another chance over the same course and distance in division two of the Move Over To Matchbook Handicap (4.00). Drawn in stall two that day, he stuck close to the inside rail which was not the place to be after the surface had been re-laid with 1000 tonnes of sand and fibres.

APPOINTMENT ONLY also raced close to the inside rail when a close-up third in the same 1m handicap as Oskemen and a good run from him in the 3.30 will boost confidence. I’m going to play him in a small win double with the Watson runner.

UNION ROSE has hardly beaten a rival in three turf runs this year but with the Ron Harris yard in such good form he can be supported in the opening Handicap (1.40). He drops into Class 5 company for the first time since winning a Bath maiden by seven lengths in 2014.

Union Rose – Brighton 1.40 (1.5pts win, 11-1 Ladbrokes)

Oskemen – Kempton 4.00 (2pts win, 9-4 generally)

Appointment Only (Kempton 3.30) / Oskemen (Kempton 4.00) – 1pt win double
