With cold weather decimating the National Hunt action across the UK & Ireland, the Weekend Watch team of Kate Tracey, Andrew Mount and Dave Young elected to take a look at the 2025 Cheltenham Festival.
We maybe two months away from the action kicking off at Prestbury Park, but with the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Queen Mother Champion Chase and Ryanair Chase entries filtering through this week then countdown is certainly in full flow.
In this special abandonment-fuelled episode we get to hear the team’s naps, lays and each way bets of the Cheltenham Festival.
Why not check out Andrew’s trends-driven selection for the Ultima Handicap Chase, which takes place on day one of the meeting on Tuesday 11th March, while Dave heads to the Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase for his best each way selection, as a returning Cheltenham Festival winner can strike once again.
Meanwhile, Kate heads to the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle for one of her long-term fancies and has a 20/1 selection for the three-mile staying event that will be one of the premier races on the undercard on Cheltenham Gold Cup day. She also fancies a 20/1 contender to outrun his odds in a Gold Cup market dominated by Galopin Des Champs.
