The centre of the track is the place to be in sprints at Goodwood, favouring those drawn low. Four of the first five in the market for today’s 6f Ed Chamberlain Classic Golf Day Handicap are drawn high and there could be some value among the low numbers (the winners at Friday’s meeting were drawn 2, 2, and 3).
Kevin O'Malley returns on Saturday with a pair of big race selections at both Beverley and Haydock, along with a pair of big price each-way picks in the opener at Newmarket, as the July course opens its doors for the first time in 2019...
The inclement weather has turned the ground ‘heavy’ at Haydock and it could be worth concentrating on Newmarket’s card on a tricky Saturday.
GG tipster Kevin O'Malley has a pair of fancies on Friday, one running down the south coast at Brighton, the other taking its chance over in Clonmel...
PUDS clocked a very fast time when runner-up in a 6f Class 2 handicap at Goodwood on her latest outing and can go one better over the same trip and track in the British EBF Fillies’ Handicap tonight (7.35). She drops down to Class 3 level here and is taking on her own sex.
After a break at home in his native land, our man O'Malley is back on GG Tips Den duty with a trio of selections on Thursday afternoon...

MULLARKEY (Nottingham, 2.00) has visited the track just once in a 38-race career but it was a winning one and he makes a belated reappearance on Wednesday.

At Brighton, I like the look of NORMAL EQUILIBRIUM in the opening Eagles Soaring High Handicap (2.00). He very much caught the eye when a 50-1 third of 17 at Doncaster last time, doing best of those to race up with the pace in a race run to suit the closers. Kenny The Captain, well back in 11th after also chasing the strong early pace, placed at 10-1 next time to give the form a minor boost. All his wins have come in fields of 11 or fewer runners, the majority of them around a turn, and he should be suited by the track.

BATTLE OF WILLS showed gradual progression during his juvenile season, doing best of the closers when fourth to Dal Horrisgle (runs in the 2.45 race here today) at Wolverhampton on his third start before breaking his duck at Newcastle where he raced closer to the pace than ideal.
Arcano offspring tend to improve with age and had we backed the sire’s four-year-old representatives, on the Flat and after a recent outing (within three weeks) we would have won 55 of our 321 bets (17.1% strike-rate) and made a profit of £113.68 to a £1 level stake at SP (+£292.14 at Betfair SP).

Many of the usual suspects take their chance again in a thrilling renewal of the Dash, not least Caspian Prince who is trying to win this event for a staggering fourth time.
Andrew Mount provides his analysis and best bets for day one of Epsom’s Derby meeting
Class is the key where BRIAN THE SNAIL is concerned, with Richard Fahey’s five-year-old recording form figures of 111165 (4-6) in Class 3 or lower company.

OLIVER’S GOLD (Cartmel, 6.45) has posted a series of consistent efforts, performances which have earned the selection the top four ratings in the race on my figures.
BEVERLEY BULLET could only finish eighth of 12 at Pontefract on his return to turf last month but the good to firm going was far too quick for him and he’ll be much happier in the Dr Eddie Moll Handicap at Beverley (3.40) on Wednesday where the ground is described as ‘good to soft (watered)’! The six-year-old is back down to his last winning mark and his record on officially good to soft or softer going reads 131146772156104 (5-15), improving to 111467104 (4-9) on soft or heavy only.
