Form & Verdict

Suited by the return to hurdles early this year, comfortably winning a Taunton handicap (2m3f, soft) and a Fontwell Grade 2 (2m3f, good to soft); respectable fifth in C&D Grade 1 (good to soft) in April and has solid claims under a 6lb penalty on this return to action, having had a wind op.

11yo whose can be inconsistent but he won the Grade 2 National Spirit at Fontwell (2m3f, good) last February and ran okay when third of four in Grade 2 Relkeel at Cheltenham (2m4f, heavy) on New Year's Day; no surprise to see a good performance on first handicap start since January 2021.

Bang there when falling at the final flight in this race in 2022 (soft), but soundly beaten fifth of nine behind Marie's Rock 12 months ago (soft); won the Grade 2 National Spirit at Fontwell (2m3f, good) in February and he may have needed November's reappearance run at Aintree, but this 11yo has a patchy profile nowadays and could be vulnerable once more.

Form & Verdict

Ran some good races over fences last season before contesting the Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham, where he looked a threat before weakening; well beaten in 3m Grade 1 hurdle here next time, which he won in 2019; goes well fresh and could have a part to play on this return to action.

Grade 1 winner over 3m in 2019 but well beaten in the Stayers' Hurdle 12 months ago; has lacked sparkle in staying handicaps this winter, even if he did run through beaten horses to take a remote fifth at Sandown last month (2m7f, good to soft; first-time blinkers, retained); down another 5lb but the competition is stronger.

Form & Verdict

Won the Stayers' Hurdle in 2020 and was third in a Grade 2 at Haydock (3m, soft) in February; however, it was a mixed campaign and he could find this trip too sharp on his reappearance.

Form & Verdict

Made it six wins from nine starts with an easy victory on handicap and seasonal debut at Market Rasen (2m4f, good) three weeks ago; has also won on soft; has something to find today even with the 5lb mares' allowance, but she's the only one of these with the benefit of a recent run and this progressive 5yo could have more to offer; might not be far away.

Faced very tough task when second of five to subsequent Cheltenham Festival runner-up Love Envoi at Sandown (2m4f, soft) in January and 2m on good ground proved too sharp at Doncaster last time; the last time she ran in a handicap she won at Cheltenham (2m4f, good to soft) in December 2021 and she's 3lb lower today; this should be run to suit and she could be a player.

Absent since a below-par run at Kempton in January but was making his reappearance when winning this last year (2m4f, good to soft) and he'll be a big player if reproducing that form today; also effective on soft.

Form & Verdict

Tailed off in C&D handicap last time out in April but may have been ready for a break; had previously won four of his five hurdle starts (heavy/good to soft), including a C&D novice and a Listed novice at Exeter, and he could have more to offer this term; respected under 2lb penalty.
