Form & Verdict
Solid juvenile last season but bypassed Cheltenham and was beaten by Jeff Kidder in a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse; slammed the Triumph Hurdle winner Quilixios on his return in the Grade 3 Fishery Lane and out-battled that rival to win by a half a length at in a Grade 2 at Limerick over Christmas; potential dark horse for the Champion Hurdle but needs to win this to confirm his place at Cheltenham.

Improving 5yo who dashed clear for an 11l success in the Red Mills Trial Hurdle at Gowran Park (2m, heavy; fourth Graded win) last month, taking his record to 6-7 and entering the Champion Hurdle picture in a big way; won on yielding in the autumn; has a very attractive profile and almost certainly hasn't reached his ceiling yet; highly interesting on first Grade 1 start.

Form & Verdict
Held by Saldier in a Grade 3 at Tipperary in October but his form has been rock solid since; won the Grade 2 Lismullen Hurdle at Navan in November before finishing a respectable fourth to Honeysuckle in the Grade 1 Hatton's Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse but it was his win in last month's Grade 3 Limestone Lad Hurdle at Naas that really impressed as he gave weight and a beating to an improving sort; testing ground will play to his strengths.

Usually hurdles but probably as good chasing and ran blinder last weekend in Red Mills Trial hurdle; finds plenty for pressure; with strong pace very likely and hill right up course winner's street, he appeals.

Form & Verdict
Last season's Triumph Hurdle winner; ended his campaign with a disappointing display at Punchestown; comprehensively beaten by Teahupoo in the Grade 3 Fishery Lane Hurdle on his return at Naas but the margin was just a half a length in a Grade 2 at Limerick over Christmas when he got to the front too soon; handles soft ground well but will need to be at his best to give weight to superior rivals.

Ended juvenile campaign poorly but top-class, winning readily in Triumph; no match at all for Teahupoo at Naas on return at Navan, reported hanging right; 2lb better off here on different ground; likely closer between them now.

French import; won his first five starts over hurdles, including Grade 1 wins at Leopardstown (for Gordon Elliott) and in the Triumph on debut for this yard; sent off favourite for Punchestown Grade 1, but was fighting a losing battle a long way from home; no immediate excuse emerged, but clearly not his true running; good record when fresh.

Form & Verdict
Campaigned entirely on the all-weather for Sir Mark Prescott, for whom he reached a rating of 77; made a lovely start to his hurdling career when beating a subsequent winner at Punchestown last month; not in the same league as Vauban in a Grade 1 at the Dublin Racing Festival and needs just one more run to qualify for the Boodles, for which he will be of most interest.

Won two run-of-the-mill 1m4f AW handicaps when with Sir Mark Prescott; ridden out to beat HMS Seahorse (who is now 9lb better off) by just under 3l on hurdling debut on soft ground at Punchestown and has rather predictably come up short behind top-notchers in his two runs since; whether he's as well handicapped as some is open to debate; wears a first-time tongue-tie.

Major earner in France having amassed almost EUR1m throughout his career; better known as a chaser and hard to see him troubling the younger guns here on stable debut.

Eight wins in France (one over hurdles), including three Graded chases; won over fences at Down Royal last month on his second start for Patrick Griffin but this 10yo very much up against it in today's company; fourth reserve for the Grand National.

Major earner in France, winning seven times over fences and once over hurdles; not disgraced as the 150-1 outsider of the field when 27l fifth of seven behind Teahupoo when making his Irish debut in the Red Mills Hurdle at Gowran last month; this is more realistic but meets Agusta Gold and Samcro on significantly worse than handicap terms.

Dual Grade 1 winner came back to form last summer when winning the Galway Hurdle before following that effort up by defeating Darasso in a Grade 3 at Tipperary; disappointed back in Grade 1 company behind Honeysuckle in the Hatton's Grace before pulling up when upped to three miles in the Christmas Hurdle at Leopardstown; well-treated by the conditions but could be in better form; blinkers tried.

Grade 1 winner as a novice hurdler and won a Grade 2 novice over fences last term; jumping let him down over the larger obstacles and he didn't have a cut at his hurdles when dropping back to this discipline in the Grade 1 Matheson Hurdle at Leopardstown over Christmas; failed to show any spark when well-beaten in first-time cheekpieces behind Darasso latest.
