Finished fourth of six in his sole Irish point last May but he travelled well for a long way and wasn't beaten far; half-brother to a useful bumper winner and he needs watching in market on this switch to rules.

Struggled in three Irish maiden points but he kicked off his rules career with a promising second in a Market Rasen bumper (2m, good to soft; 12-1) last month; that was a bold show after 250 days off and he sets a fair standard here for top yard; key player.

Began career with two very disappointing runs (bumper/hurdle) but, following a wind op, fared considerably better when third at Ffos Las (2m, good) last month; that form already makes him a leading contender here, and he has plenty of scope for further progress.

Verdict

Future Perfect was bought for £75,000 after her Irish point win in November and she’s respected on her bumper debut. Endlesspossibility and Il Va De Soi also need a close look on their switch to rules, while the newcomer Film D’Action is an interesting contender for a yard with a record of 9-18 in bumpers here in recent years. However, the vote goes to Dan Skelton’s TRIP SWITCH, who made a promising start in this sphere with his second at Market Rasen last month and sets a fair standard on that form.[David Moon]
