Form & Verdict

Very useful handicap hurdler who looked as good as ever when close third in Galway Hurdle (2m, good to yielding) this summer; will be very hard to beat if that level of form can be transferred to fences but his finishing effort sometimes disappoints and he was outstayed by a 50-1 outsider when odds-on for his recent chasing debut; tongue-tie now added.

Versatile sort, point/bumper/Flat winner; very useful hurdler, close third in this season's Galway Hurdle; found little when beaten by a 50-1 chance on his chasing debut at Fairyhouse; readily coped with modest opposition at Cheltenham two months ago; tongue-tie retained now.

Point winner; has achieved a high standard on Flat, second in last year's Naas November and fifth in the Irish Cesarewitch 13 days ago; smart 144-rated hurdler, almost won Grade 1 Royal Bond at this venue as a novice; fine third in this year's Galway Hurdle; high-class chasing recruit.

Form & Verdict

Unexposed 4yo who won narrowly on chasing debut in France (2m1f, very soft) in March, form that has been well advertised by the runner-up since; likely to encounter much faster ground on today's British debut but has joined a top stable; interesting.

4yo who won narrowly on chasing debut in France (2m1f, very soft) in March; no match for the winner in a four-runner race at Cheltenham (2m, good) 16 days ago but that was a solid British debut, which he should be able to build on; probably a major player.

Form & Verdict

Formerly very useful on the Flat; enjoyed productive spell over hurdles for Archie Watson last year and has taken form to a higher level over fences for Sam England this season, winning four times; needs to bounce back from a poor run two months ago but still features prominently in calculations.

Very useful Flat-racer who has taken an instant liking to fences and made it 4-4 by a 9l margin at Southwell (2m, good; now 4lb higher); likely to be seen to even better effect in this race with a stronger pace on the cards; closely matched with Sir Tivo on last month's Uttoxeter clash.

Form & Verdict

Won quite valuable series final for mares from a long way out of the weights here (2m4f, good) in April and followed up in run-of-the-mill contest at Southwell (3m, good to soft) a few days later; also ran well when third at Chepstow (2m3f, soft) a fortnight ago but is not favoured by today's weights and is not sure to be suited by the drop back to 2m.
