Half-brother to prolific Flat/hurdles winner Cool Style; beaten about 24l when fourth of six at Sandown (good to soft) in February but that form has worked out well and this race is probably easier.

No match for winner when second on debut at Hereford last November and his run at Fontwell in February was a backward step (bled from nose) but he's with a top stable and enters calculations here; had wind op in April.

Verdict

Nicky Henderson’s runner By The Grace was second on her debut at Southwell but that form isn’t anything to get excited about and preference is for Sir Mark Prescott’s newcomer SOLID SILVER, who has AW winners in her pedigree. Seaside Legend bled from the nose and was below form on his second outing but has a significant role to play if all is well here, while The Glen Rovers has a striking Flat pedigree and also makes the shortlist.[Chris Wilson]
