Not a race to be dogmatic about, given that most of the runners are making their seasonal and/or chasing debuts. The tentative selection is HOT ROD LINCOLN, who impressed on his Irish point debut in 2021 and signed off with a hurdling win in May. Sporting Mike also has an Irish point win on his CV but he may not be favoured by the forecast rain here and a bigger threat could emerge from Big Blue Moon, who displayed significant improvement when switched to handicap hurdles in March and remains unexposed.[Chris Wilson]
