Form & Verdict

Below par since returning from his fourth wind operation; however, he did suffer some interference in the big handicap chase at Cheltenham ten days ago and has dropped to too good a mark to be left out of calculations.

Form & Verdict

Found some rhythm out in front and did it fairly comfortably at Kempton (2m4f, good to soft) despite jumping out to his left on occasions; 5lb rise seems fair and, provided the ground is okay (he has won on soft but also bypassed races on account of similar conditions) he should be bang there.

Front-runner; back to his best when winning in first-time cheekpieces (retained since) at Kempton (2m4f, good to soft) in November and good second over this C&D (soft) since; every chance he'll be bang there once more.

Form & Verdict

He was the first beaten when pulled up in a Cheltenham 2m handicap on his return but now goes in a tongue-tie and this C&D winner is competitively treated if shrugging aside that disappointment; stable is going very well.

Back to form in first-time tongue-tie (retained) with good third of five over C&D (soft), when hampered by runner-up Our Jet three out; has won here four times (including this last year) could play a leading role.

Third in a strong 2m4f handicap at Sandown on final run and he's never won going that way round (six wins on left-handed tracks); looked good when he did win last season and returns on a competitive mark; fine on most ground and from 2m to 2m4f.

Form & Verdict

Has won his last five, in three hurdle races and two chases; made light work of beating a subsequent winner over hurdles at Sedgefield last time (2m4f, soft), having previously won off the same mark there over fences (just as easily); now a stone higher but he's on a roll.

Shot up the weights after winning five in a row (2m1f-2m4f; three hurdle races and two chases) and was soundly beaten over fences at Wetherby on Boxing Day; something to prove today, including stamina, but his jumping held him back last time and he could go well if finding greater fluency.

Reportedly lost his action when pulled up over hurdles last time but didn't enter that race in much form; also below his best when the last to complete in September on his only chase start; has a bit to prove.

Not at his best the last twice but the first occasion was his chase debut, and when back over hurdles at Cheltenham last time he was hampered early which proved costly given he usually makes the running; made all at Uttoxeter (2m7f, good) in July and he's fine on slow ground; could make bold bid.

Made all for emphatic win on stable debut at Uttoxeter (2m7f, good; first-time tongue-tie) in July and was probably unlucky not to follow up over same C&D later that month; subsequent chasing debut was a shade disappointing but he's not yet fully exposed in this sphere.
