Failed to make an impact in his three Irish maiden points last spring and sold for £8,500 last May; however, he's joined an up-and-coming trainer for his rules career and it will be interesting to see how he goes in the betting; wears a hood.

No match for the easy winner when third of 17 at 12-1 on last month's debut at Newbury (2m, soft), but that was promising and this half-sister to the useful Viva Devito is open to improvement; hood left off; could go well; also declared for the 3:45 at Fakenham.

Verdict

Habibi was placed in a big field at Newbury last month and will have obvious claims if she runs here (she’s also declared at Lingfield) but an interesting alternative is Irish-trained newcomer REAL EMPIRE, who is out of a Listed German Flat winner. Winning pointer Disco Davis makes his debut for Dan Skelton and is also on the shortlist.[Chris Wilson]
