Europa League Group Stage Odds 2026/27
The Europa League’s league phase returns for a third season in 2026/27, with 36 clubs again facing eight different opponents apiece as they chase a top-eight finish and a bye straight into the last 16. Aston Villa go into the campaign unable to defend their title, with the reigning champions instead qualifying for the Champions League league phase, since the new format doesn’t allow clubs to transfer down from the Champions League into the Europa League once the league phase begins.
That leaves the competition wide open, with English, Spanish, and Italian sides among those expected to dominate the automatic qualification places once again, much as they did last season. Below, you’ll find the latest odds on which clubs will finish inside the top eight, along with the full league phase table as it develops. This season’s final takes place at Stadion Frankfurt in Frankfurt, Germany, on 26 May 2027. We’ll update this page as the fixture list is confirmed and odds move throughout the eight rounds of league phase action.

How The Europa League League Phase Works
36 teams will all play eight games in one all-encompassing group to begin the Europa League, in an identical format to the Champions League group stage. Those eight matches will be seeded so that every team plays two matches against opponents from four pots, ranked by UEFA coefficients.
At the end of the group stage, the top eight teams will go directly to the last 16. The next 16, from 9th-24th, will meet in a playoff in the format 9th vs 24th, 10th vs 23rd and so on. The bottom 12 sides will be eliminated immediately from the Europa League.

Europa League Group Stage: Who Could Make The Top Eight?
Among the early contenders to finish in the top eight will be two giants of the Italian league. Both AC Milan and Juventus suffered disappointing league campaigns in Serie A, finishing fifth and sixth respectively. That ensures both are in the Europa League this season, providing potentially fearsome opposition for whoever they face.
Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo are Spain’s qualifiers and will naturally fancy their chances of dominating the group stage. The same may be true of Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen for Germany, while the three English qualifiers were all unexpected. Nevertheless, Crystal Palace, in via their Conference League success, Bournemouth and Sunderland will fancy their chances of going far due to the strength of the Premier League.
