It’s very rare that you don’t see a race meeting each day that hasn’t had one or two non-runners. There’s a vast array of possibilities as to why horses might become non-runners today, perhaps a late change in the going has resulted in the ground going against them, they have been unable to make it to the track as a result of traffic problems, or they raced the previous day and simply had multiple entries.

Today’s non-runners can be found here at GG and will detail the exact race at a meeting where the horse has been withdrawn. Unfortunately, non-runners can occur at any time from the stage of declaration to the post time, with horses on occasion becoming non-runners right as a race is about to begin – usually on account of vet’s advice. Stay ahead of the changes by checking today’s racecards for updated fields.
We’ll keep you up to date with all of the non runner’s horses today across today’s horse racing fixtures as soon as possible to ensure that you’ve time to change any bets. If you’ve backed a horse, or horses, which subsequently become non-runners, you will receive your stake back. If your horse is a non-runner, find your next bet with our nap of the day.
It is important, however, to check that your bet does not fall under ante-post rules, i.e. has been placed before the final declaration stage, as in this circumstance you will not receive your money back.
Reasons For Today’s Horse Racing Non-Runners
Sometimes today’s non-runners can happen as a result of a mishap in the stalls, or an error at the start, in these circumstances it is down to the racecourse stewards to decide whether or not they deem the horse a non-runner. If the stewards officially declare a horse to be a runner you will not receive your money back.
