Doing battle in Atlanta, the two heavyweight nations will renew old rivalries in what is a hotly-anticipated clash. Reigning champions Argentina will be hoping their superstar Lionel Messi can deliver once again on the biggest stage, but England have an inspired pairing in the shape of Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane, who will be aiming to book the Three Lions spot in Sunday’s final.

England are narrow favourites to win Wednesday’s semi-final, but Argentina have a real abundance of talent, so head into the contest as minor underdogs. The draw will certainly appeal to some punters, with the game expected to be a tightly fought match.

Both England and Argentina needed extra time to book their place in the final four. A Jude Bellingham brace helped England edge past Norway 2-1 in extra time, whilst Argentina downed 10-man Switzerland 3-1 after extra time.
World class talent will set foot on the Atlanta pitch, but this could turn into a cagey affair with both sides not wanting to go behind. The paltry 2/1 about parity after 90 minutes just emphasises what a close match is expected, but it’s most likely that the teams to do play out a draw.
Lionel Messi has his sights on the Golden Boot, but both Harry Kane and Bellingham have netted six times and they are sure to be the three names that can challenge the opposing goalkeeper. Whilst the 10/1 Bellingham to score first is sure to attract attention the 9/2 about Messi and Kane scoring first is the most likely. Patriotic English fans have to side with the Bayern Munich frontman Kane, who could well look to get England on the front foot.
