The Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase is a challenging race for inexperienced chasers over 3 miles. However, unlike the opening race on day two, British based trainers have gained some recent success in this race, with Patrick Neville landing the spoils with The Real Whacker last year.

Latest Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase Odds

Having lost on his chase debut, the seven-year-old, carrying the colours of JP McManus, has won impressively the last twice, including when easily beating the previous favourite for this race, Gaelic Warrior, his stablemate. That horse may now be set for the Turners.
Stay Away Fay, a winner at the Festival last season, is his biggest danger according to the market and is all about stamina, though Grey Dawning has looked precociously talented at times this season for Dan Skelton. Henry De Bromhead’s Monty’s Star is also towards the top of the reckoning.
