Has come into his own since handicapping on good and quicker ground, finding plenty to win at Sandown and doing well to be fifth of 30 in the Hunt Cup here (also 1m, good to firm; checked over 1f out) only four days later; 1lb higher today but he still has scope for improvement.

Smart as 2yo but she hasn't quite hit those heights in 2025, albeit facing some tough assignments; dropping down the weights and now tried in cheekpieces but others look safer.

Usually front-runs; never better than with his first and second at the end of last month, which were on AW however and his top four RPRs have now been registered in that sphere; something to find on turf, including as he was third here (1m6f, good to firm) earlier in July but is now 7lb higher and he dropped out at Chepstow on Thursday.

Progressive handicapper last season who ended up in the St Leger, perhaps a little flattered by that bare result as the form has not been repeated; third in the 2m5f Queen Alexandra at Royal Ascot on penultimate outing was clearly his most competitive show this season and gives hope, but he flopped at Newbury on latest.

Not at his best over C&D two weeks ago but his Ascot record is solid overall and he was beaten only a nose in the Gosforth Park Cup at Newcastle in June; that's a strong piece of recent form and he should be thereabouts off just 2lb higher.
