Good (8.0) ground provided a proper test and produced several competitive finishes across the card. Redline (Charlie Johnston / Andrew Mullen) made all to take the 14:30 EBF Stallions Restricted Novice Stakes, holding off Ten Clarets after the favourite reared leaving the stalls. Royal Blaze (Ewan Whillans / David Nolan) produced a notable 11/1 success in the 15:00 handicap, while Native Honey and Ey Up He’s A Star both produced strong late bursts in their respective handicaps. Manila Scouse landed the Silver Cup Trial, White Ladder finished powerfully to win the 17:00, and Ebony Maw made virtually all in the finale.

Racecourse Guide
Recognised as the premier racecourse in Scotland and hosts regular flat and jump meetings. Its main highlights are the Scottish Grand National held in April and the Western Meeting on the Flat in September that features the Ayr Gold Cup. The left-handed course is approximately one and a half miles in circumference, and tends to suit long-striding gallopers, providing a searching test of stamina in rain-softened conditions.

Tickets
There are two ticket options available at Ayr racecourse:
- Grandstand Enclosure. Gives access to the Grandstand and the Sports Bar on the ground floor of the Princess Royal Stand. The latter is seen as one of the top grandstand facilities in the United Kingdom. Also have access to the Parade Ring in this enclosure.
- Club Enclosure. Entitles you to access to all public on course facilities, including the Champagne Bar & Gardens. Also have access to view the Pre-Parade ring, as well as all the facilities that you get with a Grandstand ticket.
