Racecourse Guide

A sweeping, left-handed course set into a scenic corner of County Meath, Bellewstown is a small course with a big presence. It races on nine days a year: two Saturdays in April, the three-day July festival, two days in late August and two evening fixtures at the turn of September and October. The July festival is still the main event, when race-goers turn out in big numbers to experience what the track has to offer – indeed, it is known for a buzzing atmosphere when the sun shines. Bellewstown is another of Ireland’s dual-purpose tracks with both flat and hurdle races. The circuit is one mile and one furlong round, with a three furlong straight and a fairly testing up-hill finish.

Dining, Hospitality & Facilities

For a finer, premium experience there is one option available at Bellewstown, which is the corporate hospitality package. This includes entrance to the course, an official race card, a buffet meal selection, full bar and Tote facilities, a dedicated hospitality area and live music after racing.

Tickets

Ticket options at Bellewstown include General Admission, a Punters Pack, Corporate Hospitality and group bookings for parties of 10 or more, and a season ticket is also available. Children aged 16 and under go free with an adult. General Admission includes:

The Effect of the Draw

Over 5 furlongs it pays to be drawn higher, which is surprising considering the course turns left-handed into the home straight. Over the 1 mile trip the lower draws tend to fare better. Over 1m 4f plus there is no real draw bias.
