Perth Race Results

Perth is the most northerly racecourse in Britain, situated in the picturesque parklands of Scone Palace in Scotland. It stages National Hunt racing including evening and twilight fixtures and the popular Perth Festival in April. The top events at Perth races are the Highlands National and the Perth Gold Cup.

GG provide all Perth race results online as quickly as possible. The winner and placed horses with SP returns are published as soon as they are weighed in. The complete finishing order will become available soon after with yesterday’s results available in full.

Racecourse Guide

Perth has become increasingly popular and has more than doubled its allocation of 7 days of racing per year since the 1980’s. It stages fixtures between April and September with the three-day Perth Festival taking place in late April. The featured Highlands National is one of the longest staying chases in the calendar over three and three-quarter miles. Other significant races include the Future Champions Novices’ Hurdle and the Old Mout Cider Handicap Chase.

The big summer highlight is the Perth Gold Cup at the June fixture. The Silver Cup is over half a mile less and takes place in July. The main event of the August meeting is the Summer Handicap Hurdle.

Perth is a right handed track of about ten furlongs with eight fences on each circuit. It is a flat track with wide sweeping turns which suits front runners on good ground. Conditions can become very testing which brings stamina into play. The fences are fair but the omission of the water jump in front of the stands on the final circuit leaves a long run-in. Jockeys can sometimes be guilty of kicking for home too soon and it is a long way to the winning post.

Dining, Hospitality & Facilities

Perth offers a great variety of Hospitality packages to suit all tastes and budgets. Private Suite Marquee options are named after racing greats Amberleigh House and Kauto Star. Both include 3 course lunches while the more exclusive Kauto Star option is ideal for corporate groups. There is also a 2-course Last Fence Package available on selected dates. Restaurant bookings can be made for the Tay Bistro and Galileo Restaurant. You can also book a Picnic Ticket which allows entry into the Picnic Enclosure for those wishing to bring their own food.

Racegoers travelling by road from Carlisle and the south should take the Perth bypass before turning left immediately after crossing the Friarton Bridge. Perth Railway Station is about four miles from the course with a bus shuttle service direct to the track on race days.

Tickets

You can purchase your Perth racing tickets directly through the website for upcoming fixtures. These include Early Bird Grandstand Entry and Concession Entry for over 60’s, students and disabled racegoers.

Racecourse Guide

Situated on the banks of the River Tay, Perth is Britain’s most northerly racecourse. Front runners have a particularly good record as the track is virtually flat and the tight bends play to their strengths. Fixtures are arranged to suit the tourist industry taking place between April and September with the highlight being the Perth Festival in late April.
