Today’s Racing Results For Every Horse Race in UK and Ireland

Here at GG we’re committed to providing the latest horse racing results, as soon as they come in. Our results page receives the data almost as soon as the runners cross the line, making it one of the fastest results pages in the industry. 

Whilst you can check out today’s GG racing results, you can also look back at previous race results from the day before too. You will be able to quickly see the 1-2-3 result for each race, as well as the odds for each of those runners. If you would like to see a more in-depth look at a race, simply click on the result to take you to the racecard – this will provide a far more detailed look at the race, including the result for each horse in the race, the SP odds for each runner and the silks the jockey was wearing.

 Our results page will also show the winning jockey and trainer for each race. This can be important when studying for future races as you might find a particular trainer has an impressive record when sending horses to a certain racecourse, or a jockey could be in red-hot form of late and it could prove worthwhile to look out for his rides in tomorrow’s racecards. 

Looking at results can prove crucial to picking out winners. Form is one of the key things to study when picking out horses to bet on, and if a horse won last time out it can often pay to continue to side with them whilst they remain in good form. So, it’s worth keeping an eye out on the results and look to find them in future racecards to see when they are next racing. 

How To Read Today’s Racing Results

Horse racing result cards can be difficult to understand, with plenty of numbers and some betting terms you might not understand. Here at GG, we aim to make them as easy as possible to read, with our simple ‘how to’ guide on reading a results card. 

Time + Race Name – At the top of the result will be the time of the race and the name of the race. You will also see the going of the race, which will tell you what condition the ground is in – for example, good to soft or heavy.  

Silks – These are the colours the jockey wears. The colours of the silks are chosen by the horse’s owner – if an owner has more than one runner in the race, they will wear a different coloured hat in order to tell the difference. 

Odds – This will tell you what the starting price (SP) of the horse was. Underneath you will see ‘win’ and ‘place’ too, which will show how much returns you can expect for a £1 stake if your horse either won or placed. 

Winning Jockey – This will display the winning jockey of the horse.  

Winning Trainer – This will display the winning trainer of the horse.

Exacta – This is the pool betting version of a straight forecast bet, where you are predicting the winner and the runner-up in the race, in that order. The price shows what you would receive if you put a £1 exacta bet on.  

Straight Forecast – This shows what you would receive to a £1 stake if you picked out the straight forecast, which is correctly predicting the winner and runner-up in the correct order. 

Trifecta – This is similar to an exacta bet, except you are predicting the first, second and third horses to finish, in that exact order. These usually offer big payouts and the price on the results section shows what you would stand to receive if you placed a £1 trifecta bet. 

How To Find Horse Racing Results Of Key Events

You are also able to look at horse racing cards & results for all the key racing events in the calendar. This includes the pinnacle of the National Hunt racing calendar, such as the Cheltenham Festival and the Aintree Festival (Grand National), as well as all the major racing festivals in Ireland. This is also where you can find the racecards and results for the best Flat racing too, Which includes Royal Ascot, The Epsom Derby and Glorious Goodwood Festival.

Looking at today’s results can prove insightful if looking to find more winners on the racecard. You might find that a jockey has ridden two winners already on the card and it could prove wise to back him to ride another winner whilst he’s in good form. 

There are not only today’s results available for you to check out, however, as we have a results archive on-site for all the meetings. Yesterday’s results are set up in precisely the same way as today’s, and therefore provide all the data that you need.

Looking at results of the key racing meetings can prove extremely important, as you may find a particular trainer does especially well at Cheltenham Festival for example, such as Willie Mullins. You may also be able to look at certain trends for the key race – for example, nine of the last ten winners of the Cheltenham Gold Cup were aged either 7 or 8.
