Tongue tied for last two starts and he won them both, in a novice at Windsor (1m2f, good to firm) and seven-runner handicap at Ascot (1m4f, good); up 7lb but that C&D win was registered with little fuss; he has more to give and a big chance to win again.

Flash Harry

T: Clive Cox

Good second at Bath on his sole 2yo start (5.7f, good to firm; trained by Sylvester Kirk), a race in which he split two useful opponents; absent for 346 days prior to a wide-margin win at Wolverhampton on his stable debut in May (6f, AW; hooded first time); beaten at 1-3 back at Bath eight weeks ago (5f, good to firm) when looking a tricky ride (hung badly left in front and headed late on); quite possible there's more in the tank and he represents a stable that would have had plenty of options for a race like this; interesting on handicap debut.

Eight races; made the running for all three of his wins, including in handicaps over about this trip on good to firm on first two starts this season, finding plenty to end well on top; couldn't get to the front at Epsom next time and tailed off, with rain-softened ground apparently to blame; no excuse with the ground at Windsor (led over 6f out) on latest start, however, and cheekpieces are now enlisted.

Well treated on form as recent as early 2024; however, this 8yo was a long way below his best last May-August and soundly beaten in 1m4f handicaps (100-1 and 33-1) last month in his only two starts since; stays 2m and waiting tactics (rather than front-running last time) seem to suit, but it's hard to predict that a revival is imminent.

T: Brian Meehan

Chased home subsequent Group winners American Affair and Jm Jungle at York (5f, good to firm) in May and he's now 4lb lower in the weights; far from disgraced when fourth over C&D two weeks ago; high on the list.
