Grand National Betting Offers For Existing Customers

Bookmakers are always fighting for attention. The Grand National is one of the biggest meetings of the year and so they will be looking to entice their customers, many of whom may have multiple accounts, with the best potential offers.

This could include the likes of individual free bets for the big race itself, extra places for each-way purposes, or through the card offers with other giveaways. Let’s have a look at all the Grand National Offers for existing customers

Best Odds Guaranteed

Best Odds Guaranteed is expected to be in place for the majority of bookmakers during Grand National week. This special provides punters with the best odds available if their selection drifts to a bigger price prior to race off-time. Best Odds Guaranteed is usually available once 48-hour declarations have been made.

Non-Runner No Bet

The Non-Runner No Bet concession is usually available at a similar stage to the Best Odds Guaranteed and allows punters to receive their money back if their horse fails to take in the race. On occasions, some firms will go early on this Non-Runner No Bet special, and this allows punters to place a bet on a horse safe in the knowledge that if they don’t run, they will receive their money back.

Enhanced Odds

Enhanced Odds are regularly in place across bookmaker sites and often come in the form of price boosts, so for example a 7/2 shot becomes 4/1 or alternatively a double with two of the shortest-priced runners on the day sees its price enhanced. Enhanced Odds are available with a large proportion of betting sites albeit their odds are often fixed, and therefore don’t adhere to the Best Odds Guaranteed concession.

Enhanced Places

One of the best betting specials in place for existing customers is Enhanced Places, whilst firms are required to go win only in fields of four or less, top two places each way in fields of seven or less, top three places each way in fields of eight or more and top four places in handicaps with fields of 16+, the majority of betting sites will provide enhanced places on at least a handful of races throughout the Grand National meeting. One of the key races to look out for in regards to this special is the Grand National itself. With 40 runners set to go to post, firms will often push out the places to 6, 7 or even 8 places, and therefore making sure you have multiple accounts is crucial to ensuring that you can get the most each-way chance with your National selection.

Before Using Your Grand National Free Bet Offers

The Grand National is a notoriously difficult race to find the winner of. With 40 horses to choose from and so many variables within the race itself, seasoned Grand National tipsters can have as many problems as once-a-year pinstickers in choosing the winner of the race.

One way of maximising your chances, but potentially increasing the risk, is to spread your bets between multiple horses. For as much as there may be one horse you really fancy, an investment in two or more will give you greater numerical chances for obvious reasons.

The risks involved ensure that you may have to lower your stakes for each individual, especially should you end up picking three fallers at the first (trust me, it can be done!).

However, there are significant opportunities when betting on the Grand National too. With the race hosting more runners than any other race, this will always guarantee that the prices available are greater even for the favourites than they would be for any other race. Similarly, many bookmakers will offer enhanced each-way terms, offering up to eight places that payout.

How to Get Grand National Free Bets

The leading betting sites and apps offer free bets and special offers on the Grand National. The number of promotions increases as the race draws nearer, and you can sign up for an account and grab most of the Grand National betting offers throughout the year and with a wide range of sportsbooks.

There is no limit on the number of betting apps you can join as a new customer, collecting the Grand National betting deals as you go. In addition, many experienced and profitable bettors have an account registered with several bookmakers, spreading their interest across established names and the best of the emerging talent.

There are a few reasons for this approach. The most obvious is to grab as many of the best Grand National betting offers as you can get your hands on, but there’s also a long-term benefit. The more betting accounts you have with different bookies, the better your chances of accessing the market-best odds on every bet you place. This isn’t just true of Grand National betting, but also for every race and sport you wager on throughout the year.

Register an account

Regardless of the betting site you join, or even the number of Grand National betting apps you create an account with, the process of registering is almost identical. You can create an account in a matter of minutes and must complete the registration process only once at each betting firm.

After filling in the registration form, you will receive a username and password that will grant you access to your betting account at any time using a desktop computer, Android or iOS mobile device.

Follow the steps below to create an account at any Grand National betting site listed on this page and secure the best Grand National betting offers. Please follow each step carefully, as missing just one of them could delay the process or cause you to miss out on the most generous Grand National betting deals.

You must complete all steps of the registration form to proceed, providing your name, date of birth, postcode and anything else that’s required. This is crucial.

  • Create a username and password

You will be asked to create a username and password, which will be needed to access your betting account on future visits. This should be something memorable to you but not too obvious that someone could hack it.

Grand National Betting Tips – Learn From Past Statistics

Lovers of Grand National betting use a range of tactics to decide which horse to back. Some study the form, research past performances, the expected ground, how horses have run over course or distance in the past, and much more. They love to have every bit of information they can get their hands on. Others prefer to trust the experts, following the advice posted on our Grand National tips page. For many, it’s best left to fate, picking a horse with a familiar-sounding name or the attractive colours on a jockey’s silks.

Each of these approaches has resulted in past winners of the Grand National, but, as is the case when betting on any sportsbook market, the more research you do, the better your chances of landing a winner.  You can find this year’s Grand National Results live on our results page.

Below are some important trends and stats from recent runnings of the Grand National that could assist in your bid to back a winner.

Age

Age may just be a number to you, but it could provide you with clues to a winner in horse racing terms. Each of the last seven winners has been aged between eight and nine years old.

Eight-year-olds dominate this stat, providing four of the previous seven champions and three of the last five.

Owners

There is no apparent or solid trend in the jockey or trainer stats, but we do note that the Gigginstown House Stud has owned three of the last six Grand National Champions, sending out 2016 winner Rule the World, as well as Tiger Roll, who scored in 2018 and then defended that title 12 months later. Last year, their best effort was third-placed Delta Work.

Favourites

Following the market and betting on the favourite is rarely a good idea in the Grand National, backed up by the stats. We often see big-price winners of this race, and in the last decade, there have been champions with starting prices of 33/1, 50/1 and 66/1. There was also a 100/1 winner, Mon More, in 2009. We’ve had just one winning favourite in recent years, courtesy of Tiger Roll in 2019.

Newbies

Experience isn’t everything at this level, and this is proven by the fact that nine of the last 10 Grand National winners have been running in the race for the first time, with the only exception being Tiger Roll, who has won the race the previous year. You’d be forgiven for thinking race experience would help with such a tricky track and trip, but perhaps it’s a case of “once bitten, twice shy” for many horses.

Luck of the Irish

Sticking with Irish horses would have been a profitable approach in recent runnings of the Grand National as five of the six most recent winners of the Grand National have been trained in Ireland, including each of the last four winners. Horses bred in the country also have an enviable record here.

How to bet on Grand National Horses

Our Grand National racecards provide all of the information that you need to know before placing any bets. Below is a list of just some of the features that our racecards include

Trainer and Jockey

One of the first things to note when checking out our racecards is the Trainer and Jockey information that comes directly under the runner’s name. This is particularly pertinent when looking at the Grand National field, who is Rachael Blackmore riding? What does Willie Mullins send over? Check out our racecards section for the answer to these questions.

Recent Form

Just below the Jockey silks on our racecards page sits the recent runner form, this includes their last six form figures, when they last raced, and if they’ve had any breaks between their runs. For anyone keen to delve a little deeper into the form of any of this year’s Grand National field, one-click on an individual runner’s name will bring up their GG horse profile, which includes recent form and in-running comments.

Weight

A crucial factor of any Grand National assessment is the weight your hopeful must carry over the gruelling trip. On our GG racecards, we have the weights for all forty runners – this appears in imperial measurements.

Official Rating

Alongside the weights, our racecards provide each individual runner official rating. Official ratings can provide a good guide to the standard of each runner, and looking back at previous official ratings can help punters assess whether horses are improving or declining.

Odds

Most importantly, our racecards feature runner’s odds for the Grand National. These odds come in comparison form and take you directly to the bet slip on each site with just one click.

Types of Grand National Betting Offers

There are many different Grand National betting offers available – with more springing up every year as bookies battle to provide customers with something different to help them stand out from the crowd. Below are some of the most popular Grand National betting deals.

Free bets

This is the most popular type of bonus for new customers, but there are many different types of Grand National free bets. For example, you are likely to find a deposit-matched free bet when you are required to create an account, make your first deposit and place a wager to qualify. You will then secure a free bet that is equal in value to your first bet.

Risk-free bets

This is another style of free bet that can be found throughout the year, not just on the approach to the Grand National. Here, you are asked to create an account, deposit and make your first bet. If your selection wins, then you bag the profits, but if your bet loses, you will get your stake back to have another go.

Enhanced odds

This deal is often attached to the Grand National favourite, where a bookie will boost the odds to make the horse a much higher price. This is usually a massive boost but with a maximum stake condition attached. So, if you are betting on the favourite, it would make sense to do it on a betting app that boosts the odds.

Cashback

You can also get your money back on losing bets if your horse fails to finish the race. This deal can be found on domestic horse races throughout the jumps season but is particularly popular during the Grand National. Place your bets, and if your pick fails to finish the race, you will get your cash back.

Profit boost

This is a deal that has been designed to benefit the cream of the betting crop. However, this is usually offered only on accumulators or multiples. So if you have an Aintree Festival winning Acca, your profits may be boosted. The number of winning legs in your bet has a say in how much of a boost you receive on your winnings.

Understanding All the Different Grand National Bet Types

Below are some of the most common and well known Grand National bet types.

Win

The simplest and most-used bet type on the Grand National – pick a horse to win, add a stake and confirm. If your horse wins, you get the profits – if your selection finishes second or below, the bookie keeps your stake.

Each-way

An each-way bet is an excellent wager in the Grand National or any event with a large field of big-priced selections. An each-way punt is two bets, so you must double your stake. For example, if you bet £5 each-way, the total cost will be £10. This is two bets – one on your pick to win the race and another on it to finish in the top three, four, or five, depending on the number of horses in the field.

Place

This is a bet on a horse to land a place, such as the first five. Many bookmakers offer enhanced each-way places for the Grand National, paying out on anything from 1/4 odds for the first four places through to 1/4 odds for the first six. The more places available, the better.

Forecast

If you thought backing the winner of the Grand National was hard enough, this bet is only for the highly confident. A forecast bet asks you to predict the winner and the runner-up in the correct order.

Tricast

This is the next level up from a forecast. With a tricast, you are predicting the first three horses to cross the finish line.
