Fred Winter In Focus

With a bumper field of over 20 runners set to line up for the Fred Winter at 4:40pm then it’s going to be a tough race for punters to decipher. Noel George & Amanda Zetterholm’s Stencil is a prominent figure in the betting and was last seen chasing home East India Dock in the Triumph Hurdle Trial at Cheltenham back on Trials Day in January. Opting to head down the handicap route and not go for the Triumph, this JP McManus-owned raider is one of the leading fancies.

Gavin Cromwell’s Total Look was third at Cheltenham earlier in the season and finished in that same position last time out, but is another towards the head of the betting, while Joseph O’Brien’s Puturhandstogether has been a decent performer over hurdles this season and has to be another that comes into calculations for this contest.

Beyond Your Dreams was a winner at Fairyhouse last time and could be another leading contender for the O’Brien team, while Sony Bill will be the premier contender for the deadly duo of Willie Mullins and Paul Townend, who are looking to be the dominant figures once again at the Cheltenham Festival.
