J: James Doyle

T: Richard Hannon

AW winner in November on debut and, coming from the back, good form in defeat this season; no real threat to Evanesco in five-runner handicap at Newmarket (1m2f, good to firm) on penultimate start but better when launching a strong challenge for the London Gold Cup at Newbury (1m2f, good) last time, losing out narrowly in a duel with Lost Boys; both Newbury principals have since been snapped up by Wathnan Racing; up 6lb but cheekpieces go on (perhaps some hesitation in front last time) and he's one to take seriously.

J: Sean Levey

T: Richard Hannon

AW winner in November who finished only just behind My Love Is King in blanket finish to a hot novice over C&D (good) on reappearance; again came from the rear when second of five in handicap at Newmarket (1m2f, good to firm) 13 days ago, which was creditable but he needs to build on that.

16-1 for novice at Wolverhampton (8.6f, AW) in November but always prominent and led final strides; 14-1 in a hot novice at Newbury (1m2f, good) 16 days ago and made late gains to finish on heels of the leaders in a blanket finish; set for further improvement and likely to prove better than this opening mark at some point soon.

T: Richard Hannon

16-1 for ten-runner novice at Wolverhampton (8.6f, AW) in November, but always prominent and led final strides from Ranga Tang who ran in the 1m2f Newmarket handicap on Wednesday; does not have the most striking pedigree for one in these colours but looks sure to stay 1m2f and improve.
