Ran well on AW early this year; had no luck (traffic issues) when midfield at York in July on turf/handicap debut, but easily gained compensation when 6-5 favourite in apprentice race at Haydock (1m2f, good; unraced on firmer) six days ago; has an unchanged mark today, so he's easily the form pick, and there's also plenty of encouragement for 1m4f. |

Has run with credit in Group and Listed company since winning at the latter level as 2yo (good) and he gave it a very good shot on handicap debut at Chester (6f, good) recently when pressing hard throughout; shade more to prove up 1lb with this stiffer test. |

The move back up to 1m4f and then trying 1m6f both worked a treat this season, resulting in two wins and a second, all on good ground; latest win was at this track (1m6f) in July and he's run well at 2m (steadily run race) and 1m6f (bunched finish at Goodwood last week) in his two starts since, on good to firm; he's in the form of his life. |

No win since Royal Ascot 2019; still a plucky stalwart of some major staying races last term (third in this too) but he's now a 10yo and failed to fire this year at Royal Ascot, where he previously had a superb record; down to another career-low mark, following his ninth of 18 at Goodwood eight days ago, but others have to be preferred. |
