1 (11)
Almeraq uniform
Form: /21F-1 D
OR: 109
W: 9st 5lb
Age: 4 yo Colt
Very impressive on handicap debut at Ayr (6f, good to soft) last July before a nasty fall at York, and it was a welcome sight when he reappeared with a Listed win at Salisbury (6f, good); below par on sole run on fast ground and others have more substance to their form, but he's an exciting prospect who could still have plenty more to offer for his top stable.
2 (3)
Aramram uniform
Form: 71-125 CD
OR: 110
W: 9st 5lb
Age: 5 yo Colt
Last season concluded with C&D handicap win (soft); better than ever this year with a Listed win (6f, good to soft) and Group 3 second (6f, good) and another solid run when fifth of 13 in Group 2 at York (6f, good) last time; however, his form needs to go to another new level today.
Form: 3-3351 D
OR: 113
W: 9st 5lb
Age: 4 yo Colt
The drop back to 6f proved to be a good move this spring, with a very respectable fifth in a hot Group 1 at Sha Tin in April (good to firm; Satono Reve second) and a 2l win in the Group 2 Greenlands Stakes at the Curragh (6f, good); not fully exposed at the trip and he's one to be interested in.
Form: 15-147 D
OR: 109
W: 9st 5lb
Age: 5 yo Horse
Danish-trained 5yo who won a Listed race at Meydan (6f, good) in January and performed respectably in defeat in Group 3 and Group 1 races there subsequently; however, it's likely he'll again come up short this afternoon.
5 (17)
Jasour uniform
Form: 66-266 CD
OR: 107
W: 9st 5lb
Age: 5 yo Colt
Third in the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup over C&D (good to firm) at this meeting in 2024; however, he's failed to win since; looks opposable once more.
Form: 130-90 CD
OR: 109
W: 9st 5lb
Age: 10 yo Horse
10yo who is very hard to fancy on what he's produced on his last three starts, down the field in the Temple Stakes at Haydock four weeks ago; however, he showed considerable spark as recently as last October, with a Grade 2 win in the US, and he won this race in 2023 (at 80-1) and 2024 (14-1); didn't run in it last year; certainly not written off today.
Form: 8320-2 CD
OR: 114
W: 9st 5lb
Age: 5 yo Colt
Fourth in the Commonwealth Cup here (good to firm) during progressive 2024 campaign, which culminated in Group 1 C&D win (soft) in the British Champions Sprint; 0-6 since but runner-up in the Group 1 Sprint Cup at Haydock (6f, good) last September and filled the same position on last month's return in the Group 2 Minster Stakes at York (6f, good); may not be far away.
Form: 2207-1 D
OR: 119
W: 9st 5lb
Age: 5 yo Colt
Runner-up in the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup over C&D (good to firm) at this meeting in 2024; campaigned over 7f-1m since that November; reappeared at Haydock (7f, good) last month having been gelded and powered clear for impressive Listed win; the drop back to 6f poses a question but the stiff track and strong pace will be in his favour, and he could have a part to play.
Form: 021-32 D
OR: 114
W: 9st 5lb
Age: 6 yo Horse
6f Grade 1 winner in Japan (good to firm) and beaten just a neck in the Group 1 Al Quoz Sprint at Meydan (6f, good) in March when last seen; this is a hotter Group 1 but he could be an each-way contender.
Form: 423-43 DBF
OR: 116
W: 9st 5lb
Age: 7 yo Gelding
0-8 since winning Australian Group 1 (6f, good) in November 2024 but he's run some mighty races in the meantime, most recently third in the Group 1 King Charles III Stakes here (5f, good to firm) on Tuesday when faring best of those who raced prominently; that was a first run over a bare 5f since 2021 and it's possible that 6f is his optimum trip; he has to be respected.
Form: /851-7 CD
OR: 115
W: 9st 5lb
Age: 4 yo Colt
Won the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury (6f, heavy) in 2024 on final 2yo start and landed 200-1 shock in the British Champions Sprint over this C&D (good) last October; down the field at the Curragh on last month's reappearance and he needs to prove the form he showed for his Group 1 win was no one-off, but it would be folly to dismiss his claims.
Form: 3349-3 D
OR: 112
W: 9st 5lb
Age: 8 yo Gelding
0-9 since winning the Group 1 Sprint Cup at Haydock (6f, good) in September 2023 but he's often run extremely well in the meantime, finishing placed in the 2024 and 2025 runnings of the King Charles III Stakes here (5f, good to firm) and third on last month's reappearance in the Group 2 Minster Stakes at York (6f, good); each-way contender at a track he obviously relishes.
13 (6)
Sajir uniform

Sajir 20 days

Form: 10-221 D
OR: 115
W: 9st 5lb
Age: 5 yo Colt
Won the Group 1 Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville (6.5f, good) last August; kicked off this season with two odds-on Listed defeats but won Group 3 at Chantilly (5f, good) latest; could be in the mix if at the top of his game.
14 (18)
Satono Reve uniform
Form: 249-12 D
OR: 119
W: 9st 5lb
Age: 7 yo Horse
Two-time Japanese Grade 1 winner who was a clear second in this race last year (good to firm); he's taking the same route as last season, again arriving after finishing second to the Hong Kong phenomenon Ka Ying Rising in the Group 1 Chairman's Sprint Prize at Sha Tin in April; key player.
15 (15)
Stolen Kiss uniform
Form: 4-7111 D
OR: 107
W: 9st 5lb
Age: 4 yo Colt
4yo who has shown improved form this year, winning two Listed races in France (5.5f/6f, good to soft) with subsequent Group 3 winner Sajir in second each time; however, today's company demands another step forward.
Form: 3039-1 D
OR: 111
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 5 yo Filly
Third in this race last year (good to firm) and also in the Group 1 Sprint Cup at Haydock (6f, good) in September; reappeared with Listed win at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) last month and that form has been franked by the runner-up Rosy Affair; each-way player.
OUR TIP
Form: 53-111 D
OR: 115
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 5 yo Mare
Five Group 1 wins in Australia, including on her last two starts (6.5f/6f, good/soft) this spring; top Australian sprinters tend to be a notch ahead of their European counterparts and she could take plenty of beating.
Form: 4170-3 DBF
OR: 107
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 4 yo Filly
Close fourth in the Commonwealth Cup over C&D (good to firm) 12 months ago and readily won the Group 3 Summer Stakes against fellow fillies at York (6f, good) last July; last month's comeback third to Flora Of Bermuda at Newmarket gives her something to build on but others are more compelling.
Form: 37-580 CD
OR: 109
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 4 yo Filly
25-1 winner of the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup over C&D (good to firm) at this meeting last year and she showed that was no fluke when running well at Glorious Goodwood next time; however, not at the same level since and down the field in the King Charles III Stakes over 5f here on Tuesday.

25/1 Almeraq, 40/1 Aramram, 12/1 Comanche Brave, 66/1 Great Wish, 66/1 Jasour, 66/1 Khaadem, 14/1 Kind Of Blue, 10/1 Lake Forest, 14/1 Lugal, 6/1 Overpass, 33/1 Powerful Glory, 33/1 Regional, 10/1 Sajir, 4/1 Satono Reve, 33/1 Stolen Kiss, 14/1 Flora Of Bermuda, 2/1 Joliestar, 33/1 Sayidah Dariyan, 50/1 Time For Sandals

Verdict

Leading Australian sprinter JOLIESTAR arrives following two Group 1 wins at Randwick in the spring and she is the selection ahead of last year’s runner-up Satono Reve, who is another class act. Overpass was a fine third in the King Charles III Stakes over 5f here on Tuesday and, with the return to 6f a possible plus, he could also play a leading role. Regional has run extremely well on both his visits to Ascot and could prove an attractive each-way option at bigger odds. Comanche Brave and Lake Forest won in very taking fashion on their latest starts, while Almeraq is a dark horse who could have more left in the tank.[Ben Hutton]
