Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle Betting News

The early 2027 Albert Bartlett betting is wide open, with Delamotte and Low Kick sharing favouritism at a best price of 20/1 at the time of writing. The Wager, Skerry Hill and Soul Asylum are next at 25/1, with The Wager one of several Champion Bumper runners from March in the mix alongside Keep Him Company and With Nolimit, both 33/1.

Last year’s first two, Johnny’s Jury and Fruit De Mer, already appear in the early Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase betting, suggesting their futures lie over fences this season.

The Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle is the most recent of the three big novice hurdles to be introduced at the Cheltenham Festival. The long distance novice event has already produced two subsequent Cheltenham Gold Cup winners in Bobs Worth (2011) and Minella Indo (2019).

As with most of the recent additions to the Cheltenham Festival programme, Irish-trained horses have a strong record in the race, although Jamie Snowden’s Johnny’s Jury struck a blow for British stables when winning in 2026.
