Acts on soft; disappointing in major handicap at Newbury two months ago but very consistent otherwise this term and may well rebound provided he takes to first-time cheekpieces; Greatwood effort is strong form and he scored at this meeting two years ago (Grade 2 bumper).

Front-runner; dual Grade 2 winner; has form figures of 11122 this term, runner-up on soft ground the last twice in major handicap at Cheltenham (2m) and Grade 1 novice here (2m4f); may still have further progress in him; solid contender.

0-3 switched to hurdles last term but has done well this season, producing form figures of 1112, most recently second in major handicap at Cheltenham (2m, soft); made all in Grade 2 over that C&D the time before; place possibilities on form, provided he's as effective back up to 2m4f.

Won Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in April 2022; not an instant success over hurdles but he scored twice at long odds-on this May and completed his front-running hat-trick in clearcut fashion in a Grade 2 novice event here (2m, good) last month; going the right way but this handicap debut demands a good deal more and he has a bit more to prove on soft ground.
