J: Robert Havlin

Sported headgear from the outset (also ridden by Rab Havlin all starts); travelled smoothly before dominating the closing stages of useful handicaps at Newbury (2m) and Goodwood (1m6f, heavy); close second in the Ebor at York (1m6f) and gave Trueshan plenty to think about, beaten by just over 1l, in Doncaster Cup (2m2f); highly progressive and makes each-way appeal.

Sported headgear from the outset (also ridden by Rab Havlin all starts) but highly progressive; travelled smoothly before dominating the closing stages of useful handicaps at Newbury (2m, good) and Goodwood (1m6f, heavy); his winning sequence ended in the Ebor at York (1m6f, good to firm) but that close second was another fine effort; unraced over this far and four of these rivals have better 2023 form but he could easily have more to give.

9st 2lb

J: Robert Havlin

T: John & Thady Gosden

Sported headgear from the outset (also ridden by Rab Havlin all starts) but steadily progressive and his biggest steps forward came on last two starts when travelling smoothly before dominating the closing stages of useful handicaps at Newbury (2m, good) and Goodwood (1m6f, heavy; from Adjuvant); this is less of a slog but he's well in with just a 4lb penalty (due to go up another 4lb) and may well have had more in the tank.

J: Robert Havlin

Sported headgear from the outset (also ridden by Rab Havlin all starts) but steadily progressive and his biggest step forward came when dominating the closing stages of a useful handicap at Newbury two weeks ago; upped from 1m4f to 2m that day but 1m6f should be fine; it's more of a worry that he's unraced on softer than good but he's lightly raced, promising and still of major interest despite 7lb rise.

raced wide, midfield, headway and in touch with leaders after 4f, pressed leaders over 2f out, soon led and ridden, edged left but kept on well inside final furlong, comfortably
