Verdict
It’s tricky to nail down what EDELAK achieved when comfortably winning three uncompetitive races in May/June but he appeared to be assuming command before his premature exit in a handicap here last week and might be the answer to this. Obsessedwithyou, not disqualified from novice hurdles by her two junior hurdle wins in 2022-23, was workmanlike when winning at Hexham last month but she’s a useful chaser nowadays and can be dangerous on these terms. The selection’s stablemate Loriko ran at Market Rasen yesterday but will have good claims if he comes here.[Chris Wilson]
