About Appreciate It

Appreciate It is a bay gelding who was bred in Ireland by Barmakin Ltd & South Lodge Stud. He was sired by Jermey out of the Saint Des Saints mare Sainte Baronne. Trained by Willie Mullins, his current earnings are over £311,000.

Appreciate It Career Form And Notable Achievements

Appreciate It has won 8 of his 15 career races to date, including an impressive three Grade 1 victories. His first Grade 1 win came in the Future Champions Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown in 2020, where he ran out an easy 9 length winner. He followed that victory with another impressive win over course and distance, this time in the Chanelle Pharma Novice Hurdle. His final race of the 20/21 season saw him with the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, where he put in a fantastic effort to win by 24 lengths.

Having missed most of the 21/22 season, he made his seasonal reappearance in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham Festival, but he could only finish sixth to the wonder mare Honeysuckle. The following season he was campaigned over fences, where he won his first two races before finishing third in the Grade 1 Irish Arkle at Leopardstown. He finished fourth in the Turners Novices’ Chase, before a third-placed effort in the Fairyhouse Gold Cup. His final run of the 22/23 season saw him finish runner-up behind Feronily in the Champion Novice Chase at the Punchestown festival.
