Displayed improvement when creditable third in Wincanton maiden (1m7f, soft) in December, his third start over hurdles, and subsequent fourth in good Taunton handicap (2m, heavy) was better than bare form suggests (nearly lost jockey after penultimate-flight error); doesn't help himself by racing too freely but has a good chance here.

Progressive form in three maiden hurdles around 2m on good to soft/soft, finishing third of 18 at Wincanton on latest eight weeks ago; has shown a tendency to race keenly but the likely stronger pace in a handicap may help him to settle better; open to further improvement.

A big-priced outsider for first two hurdle runs but shaped with significant promise both times, more recently when sixth of 15 at Newbury (2m, soft) last month, and has good each-way claims here.

Weakened in two bumpers and the same story when fourth of seven on recent hurdling debut at Sandown (2m, good to soft; tongue-tie added); early days but he has plenty to find and remains best watched for now.

Has plenty to find on bumper form, modest fourth at Fontwell when last seen; addition of tongue-tie needs to help.
