Needs to produce more than he's managed the last twice but soft ground may not have suited here on final run last season, and he might have needed last month's handicap and seasonal debut at Sandown (1m2f, good to soft); could be on a good mark judged on last September's fourth of 17 in a C&D maiden (good to firm) and he's a possible contender now back down in trip.

Front-running fourth of 17 at Newmarket (1m, good to firm) last September and that form has worked out sufficiently well to suggest he could be on a good mark for handicap debut; soft ground may not have been ideal next time; not bred for this trip on the dam's side but sire is a stamina influence.

Once organised he kept on quite nicely to finish a 5l fourth over 1m at Chelmsford; lots more is needed, however.

50,000euros yearling, resold 55,000gns yearling; half-brother to seven winners, notaby Group 3 scorers Burnt Sugar (RPR 112) and Brown Sugar (110); dam a 5f-6f winner (98); by an Arc winner but still slighly disconcerting to see him starting out over this far.
