Verdict
Galiyan finished his 1m4f maiden at Chester with tremendous relish but LIMESTONE accomplished significantly more when he too proved much the strongest in the closing stages on his latest start, in a 1m5f Listed race at Navan. Joseph O’Brien’s contender keeps finding more for pressure and makes plenty of appeal in this bid to complete a four-timer. While leaving a less striking impression, Asakir was beaten only just over a length in that Navan race and has headgear enlisted today, so he is considered seriously. Mr Colonel, however, brings major each-way interest and might just emerge as the chief danger following his third in the Chester Vase. While Aidan O’Brien’s stable has surely fielded much more striking candidates in the past, Port Of Spain is nevertheless their selected runner from plenty of options.[Richard Austen]
