1 (1)
Shopaholic uniform
Form: 57
OR:
W: 10st 1lb
Age: 4 yo Filly
Made fairly encouraging debut when fifth of eight over C&D in April and may not have been suited by good to soft turf when below that form last month but others in this line-up look stronger.
Form: 5-6
OR:
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 3 yo Filly
Struggled on 2yo debut (6f) and was almost certainly flattered by proximity to principals when sixth of seven in slowly run contest at Ascot (1m2f, good) last month.
3 (4)
Arrivera uniform
Form: 6
OR:
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 3 yo Filly
First foal from a useful 7f AW winner; showed only a glimmer of promise before weakening into sixth of seven on debut at Southwell (1m) on New Year's Day.
Form: 8
OR:
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 3 yo Filly
Has a good pedigree but was always behind when 100-1 for recent debut at Southwell (1m).
Form: 9-
OR:
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 3 yo Filly
Out of a German Group 3 winner; too green to do herself justice when 33-1 for debut at Wolverhampton (8.6f) in December; needs to have made good progress in the meantime.
Form: 6-0
OR:
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 3 yo Filly
Not disgraced on 2yo debut at Newbury (1m, soft) but suffered heavy defeat when reappearing at Sandown (1m2f, good; behind Sunshine Star) six weeks ago.
Form: 0-0
OR:
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 3 yo Filly
Well beaten at triple-digit odds on first two starts (6f/1m); upped in trip again here.
Form:
OR:
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 3 yo Filly
Fifth foal; sister to French 7f 2yo/9.7f winner Khadidja, half-sister to three winners including Kawida (7f/1m 2yo including Listed; RPR 106) and Khinjani (1m2f; 94); dam 9.4f winner (68), half-sister to Australian 1m1f/1m2f Group 1 winner Zaaki; in good hands; market may guide on debut.
9 (13)
Kenkelly uniform
Form: 37
OR:
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 3 yo Filly
Probably didn't achieve a great deal when well-held third of five in race won easily by short-odds favourite at Yarmouth (11.5f, good to firm) in April and was soundly beaten when dropped to 1m2f at Goodwood last month.
Form: 43
OR:
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 3 yo Filly
Fair form when making the frame on both starts this spring, more recently when third of 11 at Southwell (1m); holds each-way claims at least if suited by the longer trip here.
Form: 76
OR:
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 3 yo Filly
Midfield in fairly good Newbury maiden (1m2f, good) on debut in April but unable to land any sort of blow at Wolverhampton (9.4f) last month; needs to up her game here.
Form:
OR:
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 3 yo Filly
62,000gns yearling; eighth foal; closely related to 1m4f winner Royal Associate (RPR 99), half-sister to three winners including Kingfisher King (1m2f; 106) and Officer Of State (1m7f; 103); dam unplaced 1m-1m2f in France; makes debut in a race lacking strength in depth.
OUR TIP
Form: 2-6 BF
OR:
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 3 yo Filly
Half-sister to connections' Oaks winner Soul Sister; close second to useful rival at Kempton (1m, AW) on sole 2yo start; managed only sixth when odds-on favourite for good Sandown novice (1m2f, good) in April but this race looks much easier and the return to Polytrack will suit; good chance.

Betting Forecast

33/1 Shopaholic, 66/1 Antiquarian, 20/1 Arrivera, 100/1 Blue Tulip, 25/1 Coral Cathedral, 25/1 Corallience, 100/1 Hunting Berries, 6/1 Kashooda, 20/1 Kenkelly, 5/1 Lightning Glory, 20/1 Musical Accord, 20/1 Northern Bea, 8/13 Sunshine Star

Verdict

This is not as competitive as the numbers suggest and probably provides a good opportunity for SUNSHINE STAR to make amends for her odds-on defeat in a much better race than this at Sandown in April. Lightning Glory has shown more than enough to suggest she can collect a minor prize, while good market support will heighten interest in Andrew Balding’s newcomer Kashooda.[Chris Wilson]
