About Run Wild Fred

Run Wild Fred Career Form And Notable Achievements

Run Wild Fred has been a frustrating horse to follow over the years, having only managed to win five of his 23 career starts. He has won in Graded company over hurdles, winning the Grade 3 Mercedes-Benz Novice Hurdle at Punchestown, on his final run over hurdles before being sent chasing. His chase career has seen him finish in the top three in 10 of his 15 races, but only managing to win one of those. That victory came in the Troytown Handicap Chase in November 2021, where he ran out an easy 7½ length winner over stablemate Farclas. He’s failed to win since, with his best run coming when runner-up in the National Hunt Cup at the 2022 Cheltenham Festival.
