Really enjoys his visits here, four wins include this race last year and later in season made Group 1 breakthrough in Qipco British Champions Sprint at Ascot; satisfactory recent seasonal return at York (on ground plenty quick for him) should have blown away the cobwebs but would prefer some easing in the ground.

Good record in Irish races; finally broke his Group 1 duck on last attempt on home soil but incurs a 5lb penalty for that Ascot win and has become inconsistent with age; below par in this race in 2021 and 2023.

Fourth, fourth and eighth in the last three runnings of this event; showed himself as good as ever with Irish Group 2 wins in May (6f, good) and July (5f, soft) but he's been subdued since and is now 0-14 at the top level.
