Part of the furniture in this race; after two seconds he finally got his just reward two years ago when doing well to win from an unpromising position, and he was 9-2 last year only to depart mid-race; has taken his usual tried-and-trusted route via a Naas hunter chase, in which last month he was flattered to get very close to collaring Its On The Line who was at it a fair way out at the head of affairs; still, that race usually brings this 12yo on, and this place gets his competitive juices flowing; expect him to be closing in at the finish, as is his way.

A leading hunter chaser for the last few seasons, winning at the Cheltenham festival last year having twice been runner-up there, and beating Vaucelet by just over a length at Punchestown; didn't really find his best form last season, a narrow victory over Le Malin at Naas his only success in five starts, and jumping let him down when failing to complete at Cheltenham and Punchestown; blinkers tried in those two races dispensed with and he's back in cheekpieces here.
