Beaten four times but significant promise in all those runs (twice in France on very soft ground); both British starts have been here in Grade 2s, racing too freely for comfort on the first occasion and then making most when it took Britain's two best juveniles to beat him on Trials day (good to soft); while he's looked more of a stayer than a quickener, he gets in off a handy-looking mark and needs shortlisting. |

Runner-up in a Listed hurdle at Auteuil first time out and reversed placings with the winner next time when third in a Grade 2 there (again 2m2f on very soft); the first two home have since dominated a Grade 1 at the same venue; he stayed on well on both occasions; it all adds up to him having fairly compelling form credentials for this. |
