All four wins have been from 2m to 2m4f (on good to soft to heavy), two of those over fences; clearly in fair nick after a win and two seconds in his last three races (3m/2m4f; all in cheekpieces) but he'll be into unknown territory a long way from home over this distance; too risky.

8yo who is lightly raced for his age and won in first-time cheekpieces (retained since) at Newcastle (2m4f, good to soft) in November; close second at Doncaster (3m, good to soft) since; fully effective on testing ground and he holds leading claims.

Has come on plenty of late, narrowly winning at Newcastle (2m4f; first-time cheekpieces) then a close second at Doncaster (3m, also good to soft; Prince Zaltar just behind in third) this month; this is a lower grade but it's going to be competitive and more likely to be needed for the win.

Left Aintree reappearance well behind when shading a close finish in a 2m4f Newcastle handicap (good to soft) in first-time cheekpieces (retained) a fortnight ago; came clear with an unexposed one at Gosforth Park so a 6lb rise looks fair but he's yet to conclusively prove he stays 3m, albeit after only two attempts.

Won at Ffos Las (2m3f, heavy) in February on second chase start and didn't see out 3m next time; never going well when tailed off on comeback at Aintree (2m, good to soft) and could do with rain, but his trainer is 3-6 here in the last five seasons and he could go well in first-time cheekpieces.
