Lord Lariat is a bay gelding who was bred in Ireland by Donal Walker. He was sired by Golden Lariat out of the Mister Lord mare Johnny’s Pride. Currently trained by Dermot A McLoughlin, his current earnings are over £269,000.

Lord Lariat Career Form And Notable Achievements

Lord Lariat has won 6 of his 27 career races to date, and is best known for winning the 2022 Irish Grand National. He failed to win any race in his debut season, but made amends in his second season with three victories in handicap company. It was over a year before he would win again, coming out on top in a handicap chase at Fairyhouse in November 2021. He followed up with another victory at Punchestown the following month, before signing off for the season with a shock 40/1 win in the Irish Grand National, where he virtually made all to win by 4¾ lengths.
