Front-runner who returned to form when going back left-handed at Newbury (2m7f, good to soft) last Wednesday on his second run since wind surgery, and he'd have won with much more to spare under 10lb claimer Daire McConville if he hadn't wandered about late on; has also won on good ground; remains on a handy mark under a 5lb penalty and he's capable of another bold bid. |

Well treated on the pick of his form which includes a 3m2f Cheltenham win in December 2020 off 5lb higher, but pulled up on both his starts this season and had wind surgery in between; risky but not discounted, especially with Daire McConville (2-7 for Kerry Lee) claiming 10lb. |

His reappearance effort at Cheltenham was bitterly disappointing given his excellent record at that track but there's nothing wrong with his mark if able to get back in the groove, and it could prove significant that he's undergone wind surgery; by no means ruled out. |

Twice made all here towards end of last year (3m1f/3m2f), and put in pretty good front-running shift when fifth in Kim Muir at the Festival here in March; didn't take to the big Aintree fences in April but is now back on his last winning mark; can make a bold bid. |
