Durable sprinter who has been better than ever this year, placed in good sprints at Musselburgh and twice at York; hasn't got much wiggle room off his current mark, however, and although he ran well in form terms when fourth in the 3yo Dash here in 2023, he looked all at sea on the track in the closing stages; other options are perhaps stronger this time.

Boasts strong course form, including a win at the Ebor meeting last August (5.4f, good to firm); series of good efforts since, notably when chasing home American Affair over this trip at the Dante meeting 16 days ago; up 3lb but should go well again.

Boasts strong handicap form at this track, enjoying his finest hour when seeing off 21 rivals over 5.5f at last season's Ebor meeting; no match for American Affair at Musselburgh on his reappearance but it was still an encouraging effort; no obvious reason why he won't be in the thick of it.

Fairly quiet start to the campaign but he's come good with a vengeance of late, winning over 5.5f at the York Ebor meeting and a close third in the Portland at Doncaster; a repeat of either effort would see him bang there once again; seems to handle most ground; first run at Ascot.
