His win in this two years ago was the first leg of a hat-trick; back on a really good mark but plenty of water has since passed under the bridge and he's been off since October when running a quiet race at Kelso.

Held back by slow starts on the Flat this summer and hasn't taken to fences this month, following a less-than-fluent round of jumping on his first attempt at Sedgefield by refusing at Carlisle; wouldn't be a shock if he revived back hurdling (very well treated on his best form) but he's not that convincing at present.

Didn't run badly when 16l third of five on recent chasing debut at Sedgefield (2m5f, good), and there's room for improvement; his mark continues to edge downwards and he's won twice here on the Flat, but he's perhaps best watched until showing greater proficiency in the jumping department.
